 Welcome to Beginning Band!

The Ann Richards Band program is dedicated to helping each student achieve success. Our band program offers opportunities that are not available in any other course. When joining band, every student will be instructed by an expert on their primary instrument. Through the study of instrumental music, students improve their higher level listening and thinking skills, as well as problem solving techniques. According to studies, learning a musical instrument will help to develop higher mental skills more than any other form of activity.

Instrument placement will take place during Transition Camp 2021 for all incoming students.

What to expect on instrument tryout day?

Just bring yourself and follow the signs at the front of the school! We will provide all of the equipment for you to use. No musical experience is needed!
